It is true that in the history of human thinking the most fruitful developments take place at those points where two different lines of thought meet. These lines may have their roots in different human cultures, different times, different cultural environments, or different religious traditions.

If they meet; if they are at least so much related to each other that a real interaction can take place, then one may hope that new and interesting developments may follow.

TAO 43- The War Against Gaia

That which offers no resistance,
overcomes the hardest substances.
That which offers no resistance
can enter where there is no space.
Few in the world can comprehend
the teaching without words,
or understand the value of non-action.

Gaia offers no resistance to the climate war we wage against Her.
She lives by the Second Law of Thermodynamics
She dies when life fights the law

We can’t describe the war, we can’t legislate the battle, we can’t argue understanding
We can’t pick the battles to win this war
We can’t negotiate with Gaia
We may not understand surrender
