It is true that in the history of human thinking the most fruitful developments take place at those points where two different lines of thought meet. These lines may have their roots in different human cultures, different times, different cultural environments, or different religious traditions.

If they meet; if they are at least so much related to each other that a real interaction can take place, then one may hope that new and interesting developments may follow.

TAO 59 - Moderation

There is nothing better than moderation
for teaching people or serving Heaven.
Those who use moderation
are already on the path to the Tao.
Those who follow the Tao early

will have an abundance of virtue.
When there is an abundance of virtue,
there is nothing that can not be done.
Where there is limitless ability,
then the kingdom is within your grasp.
When you know the Mother of the kingdom,
then you will be long enduring.

This is spoken of as the deep root and the firm trunk,

the Way to a long life and great spiritual vision.

Ranting, raving, blogging and legislating
Won’t solve the problem
Won’t protect Gaia
Won’t change the law

Control yourself and you teach.
Teach and you control others.
Others have the powerless power to change

It starts with me
When I grok the second law I can show it
When others see it and dissipate they show it
Network this understanding
