It is true that in the history of human thinking the most fruitful developments take place at those points where two different lines of thought meet. These lines may have their roots in different human cultures, different times, different cultural environments, or different religious traditions.

If they meet; if they are at least so much related to each other that a real interaction can take place, then one may hope that new and interesting developments may follow.

TAO 61- Kyoto

A large country should take the low place like a great watershed,
which from its low position assumes the female role.
The female overcomes the male by the power of her position.
Her tranquility gives rise to her humility.

If a large country takes the low position,

it will be able to influence smaller countries.
If smaller countries take the lower position,
then they can allow themselves to be influenced.
So both seek to take the lower position
in order to influence the other, or be influenced.

Large countries should desire to protect and help the people,

and small countries should desire to serve others.
Both large and small countries benefit greatly from humility.

Kyoto
Who won?  Who dominated?
Who’s politics were smarter?

One village, one family, one Gaia.
China, India, United States
Who is different and sets the agenda?
Who buys pollution from whom?

Who cares?
Only Gaia and 1 person.
Thermodynamics doesn’t give a damn.
