It is true that in the history of human thinking the most fruitful developments take place at those points where two different lines of thought meet. These lines may have their roots in different human cultures, different times, different cultural environments, or different religious traditions.

If they meet; if they are at least so much related to each other that a real interaction can take place, then one may hope that new and interesting developments may follow.

TAO 71- Knowing

Knowing you don't know is wholeness.
Thinking you know is a disease.
Only by recognizing that you have an illness
can you move to seek a cure.

The Master is whole because

she sees her illnesses and treats them,
and thus is able to remain whole.

We think we understand the nature of things,
That we have the right to control life on Gaia.
This hubris is deadly.

Gaia lives because she dissipates.
All life assists in that process;
Some positive and dissipative,
Others destructive and terminal

Gaia is resilient
She responds to energy
She survived asteroid car wrecks
She drained her nuclear pimple

Humanity is but a virus to Her
Spreading faster than thermodynamics allows
Destroying with growth

When I have an infection I get a fever
Gaia calls it climate change.
